The Ghana Adolescent Reproductive Health (GHARH) project was implemented in the Ashanti region as an extension of the project from the Brong Ahafo Region. The extension was based on the successes that partners, including Hope for Future Generations (HFFG), chalked in a 3-year implementation with funding from UKAid, through Palladium. The goal of the GHARH project was to contribute to reducing the incidence of teenage pregnancy in the Ashanti Region by 6%. Overall, the project improved knowledge and behaviour around reproductive health achieving fewer and safer pregnancies, less sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and fewer girls dropping out of school due to pregnancy. HFFG worked with traditional authorities, parent-teacher associations, peer educators and advocates in project areas to make this happen.
