HFFG partnered with USAID, John Snow, Inc (JSI), The Population Council, Ministry of Health, Ghana Health Services, Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit, and the Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice on the Strengthening the Care Continuum Project.
This work aims to reduce by half the number of new HIV infections among female sex workers and persons living with HIV by the end of 2020. The project was implemented through a series of approaches including the mapping of target communities to expand coverage; developing interactive and diverse stakeholder engagement; increasing overage for female sex workers to access quality services; planning regular review meetings for stakeholders; creating drop-in health centres and wellness centres for project participants within their communities; and maintaining bi-monthly outreaches to key populations.
